Mr. Shalaby’s Medicolegal Practice in Edinburgh
Mr. Hisham Shalaby, MSc., MD., F.R.C.S Ed (Tr & Orth), has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2009, working for the NHS at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary Hospital and St. John’s Hospital, as well as in private practice at the Spire Murrayfield Hospital. He has a sub-speciality interest in Foot & Ankle surgery.
Mr. Shalaby began preparing medico-legal reports in 2010. He has attended various courses and updates within this area of interest. Presently he sees patients for medicolegal reports at the Edinburgh Clinic and the Murryfield Hospital in Edinburgh.
Mr. Shalaby provide reports for personal injury claims, and for medical negligence cases.
Mr. Shalaby invites referrals from solicitors requiring a rapid turnover, impartial and comprehensive report. In general, appointments are provided within three weeks of instruction, and provided that the medical records have been sourced, the reports are delivered within two weeks of examination.
Correspondence in relation to a report is attended to within one to two weeks of receipt, though more rapidly if urgent. Mr Shalaby is available for telephone conferencing, and on occasions, attendance in person.
Claimants are offered appointments for which positive confirmation in writing is required before the appointment is finalised.
