The TSF is another circular external fixator. It is based on a computer based software that assess the parameters of he deformity and produce a correction program for the patient to follow. The connection here is in the form of 6 calibrated struts. This allows the correction to be much more straight forward for the patient. The frame however is less versatile than the Ilizarov frame and therefore some deformities might not be amenable to correction with the TSF.
